Briefly
Where should I begin? Well…, it all started on a sunny July day in the year 1986… what? Too far back? Ok, well I went to grade school in NY, graduated “with honors,” and now I go to Cornell University. I’m not a very interesting person, (ok, maybe I am, but I’m trying to sound modest here.) I learned how to play the piano, and I’m a pretty decent singer. I’m 20 years old and a Leo. I’ve got a great mom who, it almost seems like, is willing to do anything for me. My father, although he claims that he would, is too selfish to bother. He’s not that great a dad, but he’s human, so I call him every once in a while.
Web Experience
I’m not sure if I would still be classified as a novice, maybe a moderate, do not call me a “newbie,” that is annoying. I started seriously creating websites in Nov 2005. (I say seriously because when I was a kid, I used to create dumb web pages on sites like AOL Hometown (I think that’s what it is/was called) but I never tried to make anything worth… well anything.) I knew nothing about HTML, CSS, PHP, etc. I read tutorials and picked stuff up as I went along. I think I’ve done pretty well for myself. However, there is obviously a lot that I do not know, but I’m ok with that.
I started out on free hosts like Sitesled.com and 50webs.com. They are actually pretty good if you are starting out. They do not place ads on your site, you get a lot of control and a decent amount of space and bandwidth, but they also do not support CGI, PHP, or MySQL. When I saw that I needed more, I moved to another host that did offer free hosting and included a bunch of great features. As I continued to grow as a “webmaster” I bought hosting, and blah blah blah, here I am today. It’s really not a very interesting story. 
Why No Pictures?
I haven’t been asked yet, but I figured I would head “whomever” off at the pass. The answer is simple: I HATE taking pictures. I swear, I just don’t like the thought of posing. I went about 5 years without having a real photo taken (outside of my graduation pictures).
It’s not that I don’t think I’m pretty (watch out for the narcissism), I know I am. I’ve actually recently agreed to having my photo added to a special school publication. I don’t like taking pictures (have I said that enough?). There’s no big reason. I just don’t like standing in front of a camera.
